Maksym Beznosiuk is a strategic policy expert and currently serves as the Director of UAinFocus, an independent platform that connects Ukrainian and international experts to analyze and shape Ukraine‑related policy, with a strong focus on EU–Ukraine cooperation, recovery and reconstruction, governance in conflict‑affected regions, and the security‑policy nexus.
Prior to this, he worked as a Research Analyst at ACAPS, where he examined political and socio‑economic trends in Ukraine and Russia, contributing to humanitarian needs assessments and crisis response research. Earlier in his career, he was an Atlas Corps Fellow in Washington, D.C., at the National Council of Jewish Women, where he closely monitored developments in the post‑Soviet space, especially related to democratic transitions, civil society, and conflict dynamics.
Maksym Beznosiuk’s research and insights have been widely published in major policy and media outlets. In addition, Maksym Beznosiuk’s analysis has appeared in New Eastern Europe, covering topics like Russia’s hybrid warfare, NATO’s Eastern flank, and strategic threats to Southern Europe.
His perspective has also reached beyond written publications: he has been quoted or cited in policy reports and academic syllabi across Europe, and featured by the U.S. Department of Defense (JSOU), the Latvian Ministry of Defence, The National Interest, Valor Econômico, Onet.pl, and NATO Watch.
Maksym Beznosiuk holds an LL.M. in Global Environment and Climate Change Law from the University of Edinburgh, where he studied as a Chevening Scholar. Earlier, he earned a Double Master’s degree in European Studies (Euroculture) via the Erasmus Mundus program at Uppsala University in Sweden and Jagiellonian University in Poland. His undergraduate education was at the Institute of International Relations, Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, where he earned Bachelor’s and Specialist degrees in International Law and International Relations.
He speaks fluently English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish.
