Inspiring Change, Driving Impact
Eloy Antuña Ezama is a Spanish legal and international security professional with early-career experience in democracy support, human rights, and multilateral security governance. Based in Brussels, his work focuses on policy development at the intersection of international law, disarmament, and economic security.
He currently serves as Assistant at Centrist Democrat International, where he contributes to political resolutions and policy briefings on democracy, security, and human rights and supports international congresses and thematic working groups. Previously, he worked as a Legal Assistant at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, contributing to policy papers on international stability and economic rights and supporting the United Nations Social Forum on Financing for Development 2024. He also served as Disarmament and International Security Assistant at the United Nations, supporting work related to the Conference on Disarmament and proceedings of the Human Rights Council and the Universal Periodic Review. In parallel, he was a Graduate Researcher at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, analyzing governance and human security challenges in fragile economies.
His research interests include international security, disarmament regimes, democratic governance, and the economic dimensions of human security. He is a contributing author to an OECD policy paper on democracy and economic security and has supported the drafting of resolutions and policy briefs within international organizations.
Mr. Antuña Ezama is completing a Master’s degree in International Studies (International Security) at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in partnership with the Chinese Diplomatic Academy. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in Law and Business Economics from the Universidad de Oviedo, with international studies at the University of Hull and PUCPR in the United States.
He is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English and French, with working knowledge of Chinese.
