Early Life and Career Beginnings

Born Oleksandr Tyshchenko, Alex Luna discovered his passion for music at an early age. He gained recognition in 2003 when he starred in Ukraine’s first major musical, Equator, alongside well-known artists such as Tina Karol and Svitlana Loboda. This role marked the beginning of his professional journey, showcasing his exceptional vocal abilities.

Musical Achievements and Global Recognition

In 2007, Luna signed with Catapult Music, and in 2008, he released his debut album Svet Luny (Moon Light), which found success in Germany, Norway, and Switzerland. His repertoire includes classical arias, spiritual compositions, and contemporary pieces, often compared to the likes of Andrea Bocelli and Farinelli. Collaborating with Italian composer Claudio Simonetti further highlighted his versatility and artistic depth.

Notable Performances and Contributions

Luna has performed on prestigious stages worldwide, including the Leipzig Opera Ball and events commemorating historical milestones. He has also worked with Bolshoi Theatre prima ballerina Anastasia Volochkova on the Nine Love Stories tour. In addition to his musical career, he actively supports social causes and served as a Goodwill Ambassador for Ukraine’s national HIV/AIDS prevention campaign.

Recent Projects and Artistic Expansion

Beyond music, Luna has ventured into film production, co-producing the 2020 horror film In a Black-Black Room. In 2021, he launched Somnia Disaster, an art project commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster, further cementing his role as a multifaceted artist.
